Inside the Studio

A little about myself:
Hi, my name is Caspell,I am the Cartoonist and Creator of the Comic Strips -MilkyWay USA © ,Fresh Brewed © and Bluntz and Bongwater ©.  Over the years my Clients have run the gamut from – Comic Books, Magazines, Newspapers, Apparel, Advertisements, Websites, to Big Signs on Little Buildings... While developing MilkyWay USA for Syndication in 2005, United Media passed on it. In 2008, I decided to revamp all my comics and work them up for the Web. So after going thru hundreds and hundreds of Comic Strips, Drawings and every sketchbook in the studio, I am slowly getting them posted at the website! Back in 1998, I had a camera mounted above my Drawing Board... As an added FEATURE to reading the Comic's, I wanted to give EVERYONE an in - depth view INSIDE the creative process... A chance to watch as the Comic Strip goes from Idea to the final product... Today, it has changed a bit, I pencil and Ink EVERYTHING at the drawing board and digital for the rest.  At times you will get me in the studio, at the drawing board or on the computer screen depending on where I am at in my day. Feel free to drop me a line in the chatroom. Although I am not always available to chat I will try my best to answer all of your questions. In the future I will record some demonstrations and tutorials. So don't forget to subscribe to the RSS Feed to keep updated with the WebComic Screencast, Webcomics, Weblog, As well as GIVE-AWAYS and CONTESTS for ORIGINAL ART, SPECIAL EVENTS... CONVENTIONS and SIGNINGS! PLEASE READ the COMICS!

Inside the Studio:

Some Cartoonists have a collection of things from books, knick - knacks, toys , music, etc... They also line their studios with said collections. My collection started around Junior High School, Always a fan of music. At this time I was into The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Van Halen, and Kiss. There were other bands and styles of music I listened to, but these were my Main guys. So as a kid my cousin turned me and my little brother on to the band Kiss, as his interest in them was slowly fading ... Ours was starting up like a freight train.. My cousin was always a step ahead of us when it came to cool stuff. Anyway, they became a passion of mine musically and collectively. So now I am creeping into my middle 40's and my Studio STILL looks like a 14 year old's basement. KISS EVERYWHERE!!! I have seen them 5 times throughout the years and in different incarnations, I LOVE KISS! I have Kiss Days, Kiss Birthday's, KissMas, Kiss toys, books, M&M's, Kiss Potato Heads, Picture Disc's, Comic Books, Autographs, Guitar Picks, Wine and tons of other things, as well as ... The MUSIC. Throughout all this I HAVE figured out one thing...I LOVE KISS! So if ya got any KISS stuff ya wanna donate?
